Nuforce DDA-100
This little Power DAC is amazing! True audiophile sound quality. Warm, detailed, open, wide sound stage are the words the audio nuts use all apply here. I am not one of those people but do trust my ears. Nuforce does not disappoint. Its a small device, very stealthy in appearance and does lack some things like phono out and subwoofer out however if you're looking to power a couple bookshelves or towers it does it very very well. Does not heat up at all. I tried both Wharfedale Diamond 10.1 bookshelf speakers and Monitor Audio BX5 tower speakers. Both sound excellent. And while both those speakers are around 100w - 130w output the 50W Nuforce provides at 8ohms is plenty to drive the speakers with plenty loudness. BX5s have a fuller sound due to bigger cabinets and extra bass driver but that has to do with speakers. DDA-100 does an amazing job running them and takes the enjoyment of listening to music to the next level.
