Finally, a simple solution to retaining the steering wheel controls of a vehicle when installing an aftermarket stereo. Introducing the Axxess ASWC-1, from Metra Electronics. This universal steering wheel interface is designed to make the installer's life much simpler. Unlike other steering wheel interfaces, the ASWC-1 requires no manual programming. After making all the proper connections, this interface will automatically program itself with the new stereo and the vehicle. No more tedious programming of each button. The ASWC-1 has a Dual Color LED status light that will flash according to the programming and inform you when the sync is done. Its simple. Just plug it in and you are ready to go! Now installations can be faster, easier, and simpler! If you still prefer to do the programming manually, Axxess has left that as an option.

Easy installation
I love the ASWC-1. This bad boy was hella easy to install. It does the jib perfectly. I lost no starring wheel controls at all. Everything functions just as it did when the stock radio was in my car. It pairs with Pioneer decks like it was made specifically for them. It's small enough to hide anywhere you want. Even behind the deck.

Unsure...
I'm running into a lot of trouble wiring this product, but its also very difficult to find a good wiring diagram for my 2014 Challenger. However, it did not take up much room behind my Head unit, so I'm impressed with the functionality of this product compared to the pain-in-the-@$$ factor.(Minus wiring, of course)

'05 Camry XLE. Works like a charm
Used with the Pioneer DEH-X4600BT. Rather than cut the stock wiring harness, I just fashioned three pins to plug in and secure in place.
As expected, it just worked when I powered everything up for the first time, including the "trip computer".
I remapped the track up/down buttons to phone on/off hook, and while I would have preferred slightly more detailed instructions, it also worked on the second try. Now I wish I had more buttons on my steering wheel. :-)
Definitely recommended if you're installing an aftermarket stereo and want to keep your steering wheel controls.

Steering Wheel Remote
This things works great! I wasn't able to use the automatic feature but to set it up manually was just as easy. Keeping the steering buttons is definitely worth the investment. Definitely recommend!!

Great
This product worked great in my 2012 GMC ACADIA W/ONSTAR. In order for me to connect it to the factory pin # as described in the instructions. The instructions tell u what color the factory wire is so that u can splice onto that instead....which in my opinion was very easy......tap the up button repededly on the steering controls repeatedly while it connects at start up and it will automatically recognize it.....works great.
