How do I fit a 5.25" speaker into a 6.5" factory door hole?

You'll need a 6.5" to 5.25" adapter plate. Don't try to "bridge the gap" with long screws and prayers; without a solid seal, the air leaks will cancel out all your bass, leaving you with a very "thin" sounding upgrade.

Why is there a "clicking" sound coming from my rear speakers at 3/4 volume?

This is usually your radio "clipping." If the NSP525 is asking for more power than your head unit can cleanly give, the signal distorts. If it happens at low volume, check your wiring—a loose connection is likely "arcing."

What is the easiest fix if the speaker holes don't line up with my door rivets?

To solve this, drill them out with a 1/8" bit. Once clear, use the included "Speed Nut" clips over the holes. It gives the NVX screws something solid to bite into so the speaker doesn't rattle loose.

Why should I use silicone baffles with a speaker this small?

5.25" speakers need all the help they can get with mid-bass. A silicone baffle (like the NVX XQS) seals the speaker face to your door panel. It forces every ounce of sound into the cabin instead of letting it bounce around inside your hollow door.

Can I use these with a 4-channel amplifier safely?

Great Backfill

I purchased these to use as backfill in my NVX system and I am pleased to report that they have met my expectations to a T. They are plenty clear, and handle the power I am throwing at them very well. Like most speakers of this size and design they are limited by how much bass they can produce, but for rear fill in a system they are perfect. My kids say this is a huge improvement over the Bose speakers they replaced.

Great bang for the buck

So far, NVX hasn't let me down with anything I've tried. While these speakers certainly aren't "audiophile" quality, they are without a doubt better than anything I've ever heard in the same price range. I have them running off of an average power H/U with no amp and they still supply plenty of clear volume.
