Once I got the instruction sequence right it worked like a charm. It can take a little bit of experimentation to figure out the sequence but a little patience pays off in a huge way. My Nissan Maxima steering wheel controls work great with my new Pioneer DEH-80PRS. PAC, work on the instructions a bit more. It is not impossible just very particular in getting the sequence absolutely correct.

Great way to interface your controls to aftermarket
After the difficult part, wiring up correctly which isn't terrible if you follow the instructions for your vehicle precisely, I was pleased to program an Alpine 149BT flawlessly in a Civic Si Sedan. My only wish is I had the phone controls, but blame the car, not the tool.. The pac programmability with my iPhone took all of a minute to dial in the buttons which work great for me. The most difficult part you may face is with the length of the mini-jack connector, accessing the SWI after you have the dash in. In my car, I found a lower access panel by the console cubby up front that allows me to pull the SWI from behind the dash, plug in, do it's thing, then stuff it back in the dash. The app is great, the product works.. I venture to say the last SWI I'll ever need, until I need another one. Could be smaller but give them time on making high-tech smaller every year. Instructions were a wee bit vague on installation but fairly good.

Excellent product, easy to use
Having the steering wheel controls work with a new stereo is key to the user experience. This product works great. There is a little bit of lag between button press and stereo response. It is noticeable but not terrible, although there is a learning curve to make sure people don't over-press the buttons. Being able to set the function represented by each button is great.

good luck
when I watched product video it looked really easy to set up and they say you can go to there website and download and printout step by step instructions, no you cant!!, I called them and they told me ( oh we don't have those yet) then you should not tell people they can! also I have called them four times now and it still does not work properly

Could not get it to work
After multiple attempts at trying to program my steering wheel controls, I gave up and returned the unit, as it kept crashing it's own program on my laptop

Very Good
This unit was extremely easy to set up with the use of the smartphone app. The ability to add long press functions even extends the number of controls that are accessible through the steering wheel. There was a slight lag when pressing buttons in quick succession, but I am not sure if this lag was introduced by the stereo or the ControlPRO.

This thing is great!!!
I was really impressed with this unit it works great no lag at all when pressing buttons
At first I was frustrated with is because the directions weren't
Very detailed and I couldn't get it to work. But soon enough found the issue (wired wrong). After fixing that it came on worked great. Used my phone and the app you download to use with it and loaded in my controls with the usb provided with it. Very simple nice clean
Would recommend this to anybody its worth the money then to hassle with the manual sequence learning processes with the older models
Defiantly good buy
