The CTX128 features a poly-mica cone woofer and butyl-rubber surround for durability and optimum performance. In addition, the CTX series also features a conex spider with integrated tinsel leads for enhanced long linear excursion. So if you are looking to add quality bass without drying up your budget, then the Image Dynamics' CTX subwoofer series are the ones for you.
Single 8-Ohm Subwoofer drivers, like the Image Dynamics CTX128, are intended to be wired as a pair to achieve a final impedance of 4-Ohms or even 2-Ohms when wiring up four at a time. The CTX128 is designed for different wiring variations in mind, including the addition of more subwoofers - without having to spend too much.

They Slam!
Have these powered by my NVX JAD 1200 amp at 4 ohms. They absolutely slam and are very tight and accurate in a 1.1 cubic foot sealed box. They prefer a slightly larger box so they could get better.

Amazing value. Great sound!
If you are looking for a basic 12s just for a little bottom end kick in your system look no further. These are what you are looking for. They aren't the fanciest or loudest but they are a cheap, well put together subwoofer. I am currently running 2 of these on 500 watts rms in a 1 cu ft box per chamber with poly fill and they sound good. Even get louder than I thought. I was pleasantly surprised. Don't think twice about getting these!
