Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

My phone isn't "Fast Charging" even though I'm using the XQC302. What to do?

Quick Charge 3.0 requires a QC-compatible cable. If you use a standard or thin "charging-only" cable, the unit defaults to 2.1A. Switch to a high-speed data/charge cable (like the NVX XUACM3) to enable the full 4x faster charging speed.

Is it safe to leave this plugged in? Will it drain my battery?

The XQC302 includes an integrated On/Off switch. If you wire it to a "constant" 12V source (always on), simply tap the switch to turn off the LEDs and charging circuit when the vehicle is parked to prevent any parasitic battery drain.

Why is the voltage readout lower than what my battery shows?

This is usually due to voltage drop in the wiring. If you used the included 25ft cable, the length can cause a slight drop. For the most accurate reading, shorten the power/ground wires or connect the unit directly to a high-current terminal.

Can I install this in my boat or on my motorcycle?

Yes. The XQC302 is water and dust resistant with an aluminum body that dissipates heat better than plastic. Ensure the rubber cap is snapped shut when not in use to protect the USB ports from rain, salt, or mud.

How do I install this if I don't have a factory hole?

Use a 1-1/8" (29mm) hole saw to create a mounting point in any flat panel. Slide the unit through and tighten the threaded nut from the back. Connect the Red wire to a fused 12V+ source and the Black wire to a solid ground.

This thing is super nice looking but the caption says it has on and off switch built in? I have yet to find it! Also mine had only about 3 ft of power and ground harness? Any idea where the on/off switch is located or how to activate it?
