With a mounting depth of less than three inches, it is the ideal solution for under-seat enclosures in compact vehicles or behind the bench in pickup trucks. This all-weather driver features a blacked-out SoloKon polypropylene cone and a UV-resistant Santoprene surround with signature red double stitching, ensuring it maintains its acoustic integrity even in the rigorous conditions of off-road or marine installations.
To ensure consistent performance during high-output sessions, the 48CWRT82 incorporates Kicker’s Forced-Air Cooling, which allows the motor to operate significantly cooler than standard slim-line designs. By utilizing the movement of the cone to cycle air through the assembly, this system preserves signal clarity and protects the internal voice coils from thermal fatigue. With its Dual 2-Ohm Voice Coil (DVC) configuration, this 8" driver provides the system-building flexibility required to achieve a precise impedance match with high-performance mono-channel amplifiers.

Great fitment for my 4Runners oem jbl subwoofer
Bought to replace my oem jbl synthesis subwoofer, decent fitment slightly smaller so it barely fit, great power handling great blending to the rest of the system, going in I knew the oem jbl wasn’t going to be up to snuff so I added a cheap aftermarket class d amp to power it, sounds soo good with the added lower end into the mix I’m upgrading the rest of the speakers and just tapping into the oem jbl output wires into a line output driver unit for aftermarket amps, this is to keep most of the oem tuning which i prefer just needs to be louder lol
