The NVX QBUS8P is a ported subwoofer enclosure design. These specific types of enclosures, ported or vented, redirect sound from the rear of the cone and add it to the sound coming out of the front. This effect results in greater freedom of motion for the cone, making the bass louder than its sealed enclosure counterparts found on the market.
Concealed InstallationThe NVX QBUS8P features a uniquely designed box enclosure. The enclosure itself features a compact enclosure design with the subwoofer placed in the center of the enclosure. The design of the enclosure allows for the loaded subwoofer enclosure to easily be installed under the seat of your vehicle. This means that the QBUS8P is easily accessible for on-the-go tuning but concealed in a discreet location inside your vehicle to deter theft. The under-seat-design of the QBUS8P is the perfect solution for 2-door vehicles and older vehicles that may not have been designed with audio system’s in mind.
Class D EfficiencyThe NVX QBUS8P is powered by a Class D amplifier. Class D amplifiers are commonly sought after amongst consumers as this class of amplifiers tend to be more efficient than their Class A/B counterparts. Because Class D amplifiers are often found to be more efficient than the Class A/B counterparts, enclosures such as the QBUS8P can be scaled down to a much smaller size resulting in more installation options inside of your vehicle.
Bass Level ControlThe NVX QBUS8P also comes equipped with a wired Bass Level Control knob. The knob can be found on the bottom of the amplified subwoofer enclosure. This feature allows the user to easily control and adjust the bass level of the subwoofer without unplugging the unit from the entire system.

The port makes all the difference!
I swapped out an SSL 8 inch powered sub for this ported NVX sub in my wife's Outlander. I have it positioned under the front passenger seat, with an RCA adapter to the factory headunit. Holy smokes, this sub blew the old sub out of the water! Obviously this thing isn't meant to shake mirrors, but the lows are much more pronounced, thankfully without any port noise. I've been running it for a couple weeks now and it started to really come alive a couple days after install. Very happy with this sub!

Better than the 8" competition sub in a full enclosure with a 900W amp
I had a classic VW convertible with an 8" competition sub on the rear package tray but with the top down you couldn't really get much bass out of it. Figured I would try this under the seat sub and was very surprised! I removed the sub on the package tray and will use just this one for my build. Very happy with it.

Purchased this NVX under seat powered enclosed 8" subwoofer, for one of my 1st Gen regular cab Tacoma pickups, because of the lack of cab space.
After installing this NVX unit, I was blown away at how awesome it sounds. It really brings the bass to my music, and in a small amount of space.
