Note to buyers

i do not own one but as a note, the other reviewer bought it for spl, its NOT an spl subwoofer, its an SQ sub, meaning, NOT MEANT FOR LOUD, its MEANT FOR SOUND QUALITY, if your looking for spl, get the vcw, i've seen videos and they are insane, they cause large window and roof flex as well as slight tire flex on one 12

Decent Subs for SQ in a sealed box

This review is based on using the subs for a day and a half. Marginally recommend this sub for SQ but not SPL. My attraction is their small sealed box airspace minimum requirement. I called and talked to NVX tech support and they recommended using .5 cu ft airspace for each one in a sealed application. I purchased 2 of them, put them each in seperate sealed boxes with almost .5 cu ft each. I have an Kicker IX1000.1 amp pushing both of them, so they are seeing just short of 500 w rms each. I am not impressed with their SPL (and mildly dissapointed), but what SPL is there, the SQ sounds pretty good, they just haven't earned an excellent rating yet. Considering their price now ($*** each), I think one can achieve a similiar sound at a lower price point. Polk Audio MM subs come to mind (I've used before but they need quite a bit of airspace). I should probably update this review after a couple of weeks (don't know if they will improve with a break-in period, but I hope so).

Pure Bass Bliss

Ladies and Gentlemen, this sub is for pure sound quality. NVX is the REAL DEAL! I've been searching for the perfect sub and this is it! Incredible musical accuracy, beautiful lows, smooth response, automotive bass perfection! I can't wait to get back into my car again and listen. My interior components (JL C5's) cannot keep up with the sq of this sub! Time to upgrade lol. This sub is NOT for spl, but for perfect bass reproduction. If you are an sq nut, buy this sub! Also, I have this matched with the nvx brand ported enclosure.

Great SQ Sub

After using 2 of these 10's for a couple of months, I recommend them for SQ right off the bat. SPL was lacking initially, had both of them on an Kicker IX1000.1 (about 450 watts rms each) and each sub in .475 sealed chambers. After marginal SPL, I put both on a Kicker ZXS1500.1 (about 600-650 rms each). Great improvement, but I still wanted more SPL. I called and talked to the manufacturer, they said increase the sealed box size or go to ported boxes. I opted for larger sealed boxes (.7 cu ft each). Again, great improvement and now I am SPL satisfied and can recommend them for SQ (never in question) and SPL.

Best bass

Very clear deep bass. Probably the best sub I've owned so far and definitely enough bass for my little coupe. Definitely recommend and paired with the similar ported box.
