Cerwin-Vega V465

No speaker grills nor wire

I don't understand why they do not include any grills or wire. Can you buy grills from other models to use with these? On the plus side ... These speakers are 94db 1watt at 1 meter. Every 3db is twice as loud. So these are currently the only 6.5" speakers that are 4 ohms and are so sensitive to low wattage. For those of you experimenting with t-amp's and tpa3118 and tpa3116 small digital amps this speaker should be a dream come true, mostly because it is twice as loud as a 91db speaker at the exact same wattage.

I've always loved cerwin vega speakers they produce good clean base thier just a good quality speaker I would recommend cerwin vega speakers you get what you pay for

V465 MID-BASS !!!

They are excellent paired with the B54 Amp . set the crossover at 60hz if you want, they will reproduce flawlessly at 80w rms . Putem in the doors with baffles and some Noico / Soundskin /Dymamat because they Bounce!

2003 Honda Civic Read this review before you buy

So I wanted to buy some speakers for my girl's ride due to the factory front door speakers being crunchy and blown. I entered on Sonic's website the car and it recommended that these Cerwin Vega V465's fit the civic front door panels. They looked good, from what I read they were perfect so I ordered. Sonic came through like normal and I had them 2 days later. I pulled the door panels off and removed the old speaker (which was about 4mm shorter, and much more puny)but overall I wasn't stressing the new ones going back in.....Well when I went to put the new Cerwin Vega's back in, they were way too big. Sonic even sent some kind of ring adaptor that I and my buddy tried every different way and these speakers just would not fit without Sawzall metal cutting modification. I know when you hear that it spooks you, but it wasn't too bad - I included before/after pics of the door panel, the amount of metal that had to be cut, then we just used self-tapping screws to secure them in. I WANTED TO LEAVE THIS REVIEW SO OTHERS THAT ARE NOT AS MECHANICALLY INCLINED WOULD NOT WASTE THEIR TIME, SINCE THESE SPEAKERS DO NOT FIT A 2003 HONDA CIVIC LIKE SONIC SAYS THEY DO.
