An extremely thin copper wire in the voice coil supplies lightning-fast responds to any change in voltage. As a result the iDX 200 iE provides a transparent sound reproduction. Especially the trebles are gracile and precise. Optimized filter tuning enhance balanced bass and mids.

A perfect fit is mandatory to bring off the full sound quality, plus it ensures a comfortable fit in order to listen to music for a longer period of time. Therefore the scope of delivery includes 10 different eartips: 5 silicone eartips, 2 flange eartips and 3 pairs of Comply foam eartips.

A high-quality microphone supports telephone calls and Skype calls on all common smartphones, tablets and personal computers. The remote can be used on all Apple and many Android devices.

The housing is made of a titanium alloy that is more resistant and solid than aluminium, plus it underlines the iDX 200 iE as the top model of the iDX family.

The detachable cables enable a flexible application. The cable length of the iDX 200 iE is 40 cm and it can be extended with a 90 cm cable. Also a new material in the cable improves the durability massively and it reduces cable noises effectively.

My New Default IEM's
First, kudos to Sonic Electronix for the special price on the IDX200IE's, which would be worth the money at the MSRP of $199 but were a category killer at the special "put in cart to see price" amount. On to the review...I've been using the Sony MDR-EX650's most days over the last few years when taking the dog for the daily walk, and I would still recommend them as an outstanding value for anyone who is spending under $100. However, the IDX200IE's are a significant step up across the board...the same slightly exaggerated base, but more impactful and tighter, greater clarity from top to bottom, pristine mids and highs, and decent soundstage. And on days I decide to do without a mic/remote, when my first choice at one time would have been to pull out the VSonic GR07's, I find myself reaching for the IDX200IE's instead. What more can I say? Sonic Electronix has a generous return policy, but my bet is that if you buy these, you won't want to give them up.
