This stereo installation kit has been engineered to help you install either a 2” tall (Single-DIN) or a 4” tall (Double-DIN) aftermarket radio into the original vehicle dashboard. This dash kit makes radio replacement easier and comes with a pocket that is installed below the 2” radio to fill the extra space in the radio opening, which can be used for storage. The pocket is not needed when installing a 4” tall radio. The dash kit is painted Gunmetal Gray to match the original look and feel of the vehicle’s dashboard. Installing an aftermarket radio can upgrade the sound quality and provide additional features the original factory radio couldn’t offer but requires this dash kit to make it fit.

found this helpful.Decent Mounting Kit
Fairly easy to install after swapping out controls with the factory unit. Color match is good, but if it gets scratched, the beauty is only skin-deep! Right edge of kit doesn't fit very tight into factory tab holes and fit around the edges doesn't match contours of dash opening perfectly, but it isn't terrible. Climate control knobs didn't rotate as freely as they did in the factory kit. Did like the optional map pocket since I had a DIN size Alpine head unit. The factory kit allows the whole unit to be attached very securely to the dash support with 2 screws but you give that feature up with this Metra kit. That would be an appreciated redesign for future kits ;-)
