The Kicker 46L7T122 represents the 12" pinnacle of Kicker's thin-mount square technology, designed for enthusiasts who demand air displacement in space-critical environments. By utilizing the iconic Solo-Baric square diaphragm, this driver achieves roughly 20% more surface area than a standard 12" round subwoofer. This geometric advantage allows the L7T 12 to move significantly more air, providing the visceral, deep-reaching bass response of a traditional large-format driver while maintaining a mounting depth of just over four inches.
Engineering-wise, the 46L7T122 is a robust acoustic foundation, handling a powerful 600 Watts RMS. It features a one-piece SoloKon injection-molded cone and a 360-degree back bracing system, ensuring the piston remains rigid and distortion-free under high excursion. The thermal management system is anchored by Kicker's UniPlate technology—a solid pole piece and backplate assembly that acts as a high-capacity heat sink to protect the voice coils during intense use. With its Dual 2-Ohm Voice Coil (DVC) configuration, this transducer offers the system-building flexibility needed to extract maximum power from high-performance mono-block amplifiers.

These sound great!
I have two 12's of the 4 ohm version of these L7T's in my truck and they sound great. I was impressed by how loud two of them can get since they are so slim. I am pushing these with a deaf bonce aab2000.1d at 2 ohms so each sub is getting around 675 watts rms. They sound clean and can hit lows impressively well for slim subs. I have always found Kicker to be a quality product that lasts a long time. I have owned CVR's, CompQ's, and the regular L7S subs and they are all great.
