Product Overview

Pioneer's AVH-521EX DVD goes past the standard with an adjustable home screen that is yours to direct. Use the receiver's interface to place your favorite sources on the home screen, where they're only a tap away. Furthermore, you can choose five stills or two video backgrounds in addition to a huge number of show and control hues to tweak the look. Pioneer's WebLink application, you can access popular apps to your screen with the aid of your phone.

SiriusXM- Ready®

The AVH-521EX is SiriusXM- Ready® so you can get over 140 channels, including commercial-free music, plus the best sports and live events, comedy, news, exclusive talk and entertainment. Programming is received through the SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner (sold separately, SiriusXM subscription required).

Connect a SiriusXM SXV300 tuner to the Pioneer receiver and receive additional features like TuneMix™, SportsFlash™ and Traffic and Weather Now™.

Pandora

Pandora is an internet radio that is designed to assist you discover new music that you'll love mixed in with music that you already have. With the AVH-521EX, you can enjoy great sound quality and full control of the Pandora experience in your car directly from the touchscreen display of your receiver. You are able to rate tracks "thumbs up" or "thumbs down," bookmark a song so you can purchase it later, easily switch between your personalized radio stations, and view full track data and album art.

Pandora is compatible with Apple, as well as Android devices that support the Bluetooth Serial Port Profile (SPP). Simply download the free Pandora Radio app to your iPhone or Android device, connect to the AVH-521EX and take your music to the next level.

Spotify

With Spotify being a dedicated A/V source on the AVH-521EX, you now have the ability to control content from the Spotify app on iPhone and Android devices. You can play, pause and skip tracks, and browse playlists, albums and radio stations on the go using the Pioneer controls. If you are a Spotify premium user (requires a monthly paid subscription), you can enjoy ad-free, high quality music downloaded to your smartphone even when there is no internet connection.

Siri can take advantage of Siri Eyes Free functionality. With a touch of the AVH-521EX's touchscreen, Siri starts listening through the external microphone and answers your questions and requests over the vehicle's speakers, helping you while on the road and your hands on the wheel

iDataLink Maestro

Expand your level of in-vehicle connectivity with Pioneer NEX and iDatalink Maestro RR. When your AVH-521EX receiver is installed in a compatible vehicle using the iDatalink Maestro RR interface (sold separately), you’ll be able to enjoy the performance and features of the AVH-521EX receiver plus touchscreen control over key factory audio features.

MIXTRAX

Keep the party going with MIXTRAX®, an Inventive Pioneer technology that makes a non-stop mix of your music library complete with a range of DJ-inspired effects. Drawing from Pioneer’s rich DJ heritage and our passion for music, MIXTRAX delivers a unique DJ inspired listening experience to those in the car. MIXTRAX takes the music from an iPhone, iPod, USB device, or certain Android devices and plays it back with added transitions and effects, creating a virtual DJ inside the Pioneer receiver.
