My unit powers on, but I have zero sound from the speakers. What’s the fix?

Check your Mute setting first. If that's not it, verify the 15A fuse on the back of the unit. If you're using an external amp, ensure the "Remote Turn-on" (Blue wire) is connected to the amp; otherwise, the amp stays off while the NMPS20 is on.

I can't get my phone to find the NMPS20 in Bluetooth settings. How do I reset it?

Ensure the unit is in BT Mode. If it won't pair, "Forget" any old devices on your phone and cycle the car's power. If it asks for a PIN and you don't have the manual, try 0000 or 1234, these are the universal NVX defaults.

The AM/FM radio isn't picking up any stations. What did I do wrong?

The NMPS20 requires a solid antenna connection. Ensure the antenna cable is seated fully into the rear jack. If you're in a metal UTV or boat, you likely need an amplified marine antenna to cut through the interference.

My unit fits the dash, but it’s loose and rattling. How do I secure it?

This is a gauge-mount unit. You must use the included U-bracket and threaded bolts on the back of the unit. Tighten the nuts against the bracket to sandwich the NMPS20 against the dash. This stops the vibration and ensures an IP66 water seal.

I hooked up my sub, but there’s no bass control on the screen. Any solution?

You must use the Subwoofer Preamp Outputs (RCA) on the back. Once connected, go into the "Audio" or "SEL" menu on the unit to find the Sub-Level setting. If it’s set to 0, your sub will receive a signal but won't "thump."

The screen goes black when I hit the display button. Is there a solution for this?

You probably triggered the "Stealth" or "Dimmer" mode. Short-press the power/display button to cycle through brightness levels. If it stays black, check your Orange (Illumination) wire—if it's tapped to a bad circuit, it can kill the backlight.

My battery dies every time I leave the boat for a few days. How do I stop the drain?

You likely have the Yellow (Constant) and Red (Accessory) wires twisted together. The Red wire must go to a switched power source (like the ignition). If it’s on the battery directly, the Bluetooth stays "awake" and kills your battery.

The unit reboots every time I crank my engine. How do I solve this?

This is a voltage drop issue. Marine and UTV batteries often dip below 10V during startup. Connect the Red/Yellow wires directly to the battery with a dedicated 12AWG line, or add a small "Start-Stop" power capacitor to keep the unit alive.

I want to add a front camera, but I don't see the option. What's the trick?

The NMPS20 supports a backup camera via the RCA input. To see a "front" camera, you must use the Video In source. Note: It won't trigger automatically for the front; you have to manually select the "Camera" source on the menu.

The buttons are lit up, but the screen text is missing. What’s the fix for this?

This is usually a contrast issue or a loose internal ribbon cable from a heavy jar (common in ATVs). Try a "Hard Reset" by disconnecting the main harness for 10 minutes. If the text doesn't return, the LCD panel may need a warranty exchange.

MANUFACTURER RESPONSE:
The FM stations and antenna work.

We are aware (and have issued a resolution) for the FM Presets storing/saving.

The only other issue potentially could be the customer is using wilderness where FM does not work great. We cannot fix Radio Signals from your local providers, but we can make a great unit that offers the best bang for the buck, and there are no longer issues with the presets.

Works great for me. I use it for Bluetooth

I agree with other reviewer. The presets for AM/FM radio are not storing/saving. I called NVX and they will emailed me a firmware update for usb but honestly I didn't care about it because I use mine with Bluetooth only. Works really good and I only wanted AM for ESPN, but I get that via app so all good.
