How do I safely match the 9.5V output to my amplifier?

This unit provides a strong 9.5V signal. Start with the gain at 25% and watch the LED Clip Indicator. If it glows Red, back off. This prevents "slamming" your amp’s inputs and ensures a clean, non-distorted signal.

My car has a "Smart" radio that mutes the audio. What is the fix?

Factory units check for speaker resistance. Use the Load Selection switch to toggle 20, 60, or 20k-ohm. This adds the resistance the radio expects, preventing a protective mute or signal shutdown.

The remote bass knob isn't changing the volume. How do I fix it?

Ensure the cable is fully clicked in. Also, check that the Main Level dial on the LOC isn't at zero. The remote knob can only "cut" or "boost" based on where the main unit's gain is currently set.

How do I choose between DC and Audio "Turn-On Modes"?

Use DC (DC Offset) for modern factory radios. Switch to AUD (Audio) if you are tapping a signal after a factory amplifier (like Bose). This ensures your amp triggers only when the LOC "hears" music.

I hear engine noise in my subwoofers. How do I use the Ground switch?

This is a ground loop. While the engine is running, toggle the Ground Isolation switch (GND, ISO, or 200-ohm) until the buzzing stops. This "breaks" the electrical loop between your factory radio and the amp.

It's basically the XLCA2 on steroids. It has everything you could possibly need if you plan on adding an aftermarket subwoofer amplifier to your factory stereo. If you don't have one, GET ONE!

I've used a few of these now after usually being an Audiocontrol LC2I guy for years. These are better in every way, better features, less noise and even look cooler lol Super easy to setup (check YouTube for the video) and go. I run this prior to my DSP for my bass channel and have tons of adjustability because of it. I don't know what I'd do without it!
