The W0v3 offers superb excursion capability, linearity and an overall performance output that puts it right at the top of its price class. The driver features a very beefy 2.5-inch diameter voice coil, a DMA-optimized motor system and JL Audio's patented Elevated Frame Cooling design - all purpose-engineered for enhanced power handling and reliability. What this also means, is your system will be immediately injected with the increase in output and better sound fidelity that one expects from a JL Audio product. In addition, excellent excursion capability and linearity allow it to reproduce sub-bass with striking extension and quality. When matched up with the proper power source, signal and setup the W0v3 is capable of a well rounded sound that is unparalleled by any other driver in its price range.
The 15W0v3 Subwoofer can be driven with as little as 150 Watts. However, for best audio performance it is recommended to run an amplifier capable of between 300 - 500 Watts of continuous power per driver, like the JL Audio JX1000/1D or JL Audio XD600/1v2. In addition, these subwoofers are optimized to operate in either a ported or sealed enclosure, needing only 1.875 cubic feet of air space in a sealed box and 2.75 cubic feet in a ported/vented enclosure. DMA is JL Audio’s proprietary Dynamic Motor Analysis system and is aimed at delivering superior dynamic stability and low distortion. As a result of DMA optimization, W0v3 motors remain linear in motor force over an extreme range of excursion and also maintain a highly stable fixed magnetic field in the gap over a wide power range. This leads to tight, clean, articulate bass that also allows for extreme linear excursion, phenomenal power handling and control, control, control.

I have 4 of these in a 91 caprice on a true 2300 watt amp and they flex my whole car and the front glass of the shop that hooked them up but you will need to upgrade your mids highs alt and an extra battery is the best. 15s I have bought they hit harder and clearer than my nigga wit 6 12s.

had single in small hatched sealed box, and it was really tight. was running it with 200 w rms pioneer amp and it distorted slightly. besides that it lasted for 10 years until i sold it!

I love JL Audio subs. They sound awesome. Always have and always will. I had 4 15's on 2000 watts and they sounded amazing but just don't hold up. I purchased cheaper subs with the same rating on the same amps and was really impressed. These subs sound awesome and I would def recommend them if you have money to waste or just low power setup. In my opinion these subs are way way over priced.

I got this sub and I hooked it up to my home receiver to see what it could do. I was very impressed to see it pound off of about 125 watts rms. it put the factory 15" to shame. It was shaking the floor in my house! Just buy it.
