The NVX XAD15 is a fully bridged Class D amplifier. Consumers who seek high-power outputs in their amplifiers consider these fully bridged amplifiers to meet those needs. A full-bridge converter consists of two legs of the half-bridge converter and is preferred over the half-bridge in higher power ratings. With the same DC input voltage, the maximum output voltage of the full-bridge converter is twice that of the half-bridge converter. This Class D amp is able to boast a strong wattage output. Class D amplifiers operate as electronic switches rather than linear gain switches in other amplifiers. Furthermore, The Class D amplifier can be more efficient than its linear gain amplifier counterparts, with less power dissipated as heat in the active device. As a result, Class D amplifiers do not require large heat sinks, resulting in lighter-weight amplifiers.
The NVX XAD15 is equipped with a Metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor. The most common transistor in electronics offers a key advantage. It requires almost little to no input current to control the load current. In addition, MOSFET transistors can be scaled down to a much smaller size and produced at a higher yield making them the premier transistor of choice in almost all electronics, therefore, the XAD15 yields a high output in a more compact size. With such high power output, one would assume that a three-way protection circuitry (thermal, overload, and speaker short protection). Protect your amplifier and your speakers by offering a number of different protections including thermal, overload, and speaker short protection. These help ensure the longevity of the amplifier and your system as a whole.
The XAD15 is a fully bridged 1-ohm stable amplifier. This means that this amp will be capable of operating at a lower impedance or resistance. Since they encounter less resistance at 1-ohm these amps are able to output more power than a similar 2-ohm stable amplifier. The XAD15 also has the capability to be bridged down to 2-ohm’s. This allows the amplifier to take your sound to the next level by generating a 5000W RMS power output. Because XAD15’s are 1-Ohm Stable, they are a perfect piece to add to your sound system if you are looking to get the most out of your subwoofers. The XAD15’s are guaranteed to make your sound system produce the best bass possible. This means that it is possible to wire one dual voice coil 2-ohm sub to 1-ohm or two single voice coil 2-ohm subs to 1-ohm.

SQ meets SPL...it's Loud, Deep, and Clear
First review. I just got this in today. From what I was told I was the 1st person or 2nd person to own this amp. The build quality of the XAD is superior to the VAD series amps. It just feels more high-end. Not downing the VAD series at all. I absolutely love my VAD27001. I do prefer the sleek minimalistic appearance of the VAD, but that's just my personal preference. We don't buy these things for looks, amiright??
The 12v and Ground will accept 1/0 awg wire no problem. This amp has 2 fans as opposed to my VAD's single fan. Honestly, I couldn't tell a difference in the fan noise. Not to blow smoke, but I think they may have used quite fans in this model. With the VAD there is a thump sound when powering the amp followed by the noticeable fan noise until you get to a nominal volume. 6 in my case. I did not notice the thump and the fan seemed to drown out at 5.
There is only a RCA input, no outputs. So if you're planning a multi-amp configuration, you'll need to plan around that for your set up.
I have 4 VCW 12-V2s wired to 1ohm and it rumbles like a frickin jet engine. I have it feeding them right around 4,000 RMS. I am impressed at how clear it is even at high SPL.
When I was setting the Gain with my DMM, I went over the rated voltage and was pleasantly surprised by the illuminated LED signifying that the amp was clipping. That is freaking awesome and a much-appreciated feature. That should save some people from frying their beloved sound system components.
All-in-all, Great Job NVX and immaculate job Sonic Electronix!!! You guys have a customer for life. Shout out to Derricka P for the great customer service!!!

This is a nice wiring kit no doubt about it. Very sturdy and flexible, easy to work with. It is definitely true 1/0 cable and seems to be pushing the Hifonics BRX2000 amp I have with more than enough power. Rca's are also pretty nice and seem to be working as stated (no feedback or humming). I also like the fact that the battery side of the power cable is pre-sleeved and has the ring terminal already installed for you with heat shrinks as well. Same on the ground cable. Over all its a nice kit, might be a little pricey compared to other kits, but you pay for quality. Well worth the money in my opinion.

Wires seem accurate. They transfer plenty power but I do have to upgrade battery to turn amp up more only running it at .25(1/4) and even then my lights dim front to back.

I got this kit to wire a boss 2600 watt amp. The wires were huge there was no way I could run it to my amp. The quality was so great that instead of returning it I used it to upgrade my battery cables and my chassis ground. I only wish it came with more ground wire as I need a few more feet to finish my chassis ground upgrade.
