The Pioneer AVIC-X710BT is ideal for a consumer looking for a navigation experience beyond words. It is a Double DIN 5.8” TFT-LCD Touch screen monitor with built-in GPS navigation. The full-color screen comes with over 30,000 selectable button colors so it matches your vehicles interior perfectly. The TeleAtlas navigation contains over 12 million points-of-interest including address, city, favorites and home. They will assist you in finding whatever you need while out on the road. The text-to-speech function pronounces turn-by-turn voice instructions with street names to ensure a smooth traveling experience. Along with built-in navigation, this unit has built-in Bluetooth. Connecting your phone is easy and gives you instant access to your contact on the touchscreen. The Voice Recognition Software makes dialing your family and friends simple. It understands your request to make a phone call so all you have to say is call “John Smith.”
Audio features make CD, WMA and MP3 playback sound great by using an equalizer, high- and low-pass filter and bass boost. The 3-band EQ has 7 preset curves including Super Bass, Powerful, Natural, Vocal, Flat, Custom 1 and Custom 2. By having these options, you will be able to adjust the equalization to match your vehicle' preference. The custom option is an adjustable equalizer curve that you can create from preset EQ curves.

Best Nav for the Money
If you're looking for a nav that's got everything including your iPod connection, custom splash screen, and bluetooth, then this is probably the best for the price. My only problem with this was the mic and how insensitive it was, people who are on the phone with me can barely here me. Other than that, this is the best choice in the many nav's I was trying to compare with especially for the price,

I installed this unit in a 2010 Nissan Frontier (replaced the base stereo that was featureless in the LE model!). With the metra kit it fits nicely and has an OEM appearance. Boot up is fairly quick (I have not timed but guess ~30 sec, but begins playing the last source at shut down in ~10 sec). Pretty intuitive and easy to use. Touch screen responsive and the ipod interface is nice (artwork and ipod looking screen allows easy use). Have not used the nav to actually navigate yet, but the maps are clear and offer various viewing options (2d, 3d, zoom, etc). EQ settings easy to switch on the fly depending on your taste or listening source. Sound is pretty good unamplified through stock speakers (Nissan has 6x9 rear, 6.5 front, tweeters in crew cab) and at this time no need for sub for fill. I think this is a good buy (the 910 is probably better with the rebate). It does not have RDS for am/fm (HD module gives data for HD stations. XM also has station data) which would be icing on the cake. Install is tedious with all the cables (esp if you have xm, etc) but take the time and it will pay off.

Great but wanting more
I have had a lot of radios....and some GPS units but I wanted something with it all in one unit with some cool features to boot. Working in a retail big box store I have access to play with these toys and really test them out in some form before deciding what one to get. It came down to the pioneer or a kenwood and by a nose it was the Pioneer. Its responsiveness and slick looks won me over. After having it installed I am very happy. The unit looks slick and cool, the GPS is almost flawless, and the Ipod sound quality is great. However there are some little things that would make this an A Plus in my book. First off...I know its doing a lot with the whole GPS...and bluetooth and whatnot but the boot time for TOTAL USUAGE...and not being sluggish takes a little too long...as in the menues and such due take a while to perform there function for the first 2 minutes maxx. There needs to be a firmware update to help with this little flaw. The other little thing I have an issues with is the Voice control for the Ipod is amazing...but for my phone..I had to resync my phone many times before it responded properly. This and the fact that I cant put up a background pic instead of that damn black background...make up the only flaws in this amazing head unit that does the job and then some in a sleek looking package.
