My Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto won't connect. How do I reset the link?

Delete the "CAR723W" from your phone’s Bluetooth and Wi-Fi settings. Delete the phone from the radio’s device list. Re-pair via Bluetooth only; the radio will then prompt you to "Use CarPlay/Android Auto" to start the Wi-Fi link.

Why is the "Settings" menu greyed out or locked while I'm parked?

For safety, Jensen requires the Light Green parking brake wire to be grounded. Connect this wire to the negative side of your parking brake switch. The menu will only unlock when the radio senses the parking brake is engaged.

I have a black screen when I shift into Reverse. What did I miss?

Ensure the camera RCA is in the Pink "Rear Camera" jack, not a video input. Also, the Violet/White wire must be tapped into your reverse light circuit so the head unit knows to switch the display when reversing.

Why is there no sound from my speakers even though the screen shows that music is playing?

If your car has a factory amplifier (like Bose or JBL), you must connect the Blue/White "Amp Turn-on" wire from the Jensen harness to the factory amp trigger wire. Without this "wake-up" signal, the speakers stay off.

Can I use my original steering wheel buttons with this Jensen unit?

Yes, but you need an external SWC interface (like the Axxess ASWC-1). Plug the interface into the 3.5mm "SWC" jack on the rear. You may need to manually map the buttons in the radio’s Steering Wheel Settings menu.

Why does my radio keep losing its clock and presets every time I turn the car off?

This is a wiring swap issue. Ensure the Yellow (Constant 12V) wire is connected to the battery and the Red (Switched/ACC) wire is connected to the ignition. If swapped, the memory wipes every time the key is removed.

How do I update the firmware to fix bugs or improve the interface speed?

Download the latest file from Jensen’s support site to a FAT32-formatted USB drive. Plug it into the USB pigtail and go to Settings > About > Update. Keep the engine running to ensure power doesn't drop during the update.

I’m hearing a "hiss" or static in the background. Is the radio defective?

This is often a ground loop. Ensure the Black (Ground) wire is connected to a clean, paint-free metal chassis point. If you used a harness adapter, try grounding the radio's black wire directly to the car's metal frame instead.
