Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

The VPRO65HS is "shallow" for a pro speaker (2.80"), but still beefy. If it hits, use an NVX 1/2" spacer ring. This "pops" the speaker forward into the door panel, giving the magnet the clearance it needs for your window to roll down
High-sensitivity (97dB) speakers amplify everything, including "noise floor." Check your gain, it’s likely too high. Verify your RCAs aren't run next to power wires. If they are, re-route them to the opposite side of the car.
Your door panel is choking the horn tweeter. Install NVX XQS silicone baffles. They bridge the gap between the speaker face and the door panel, forcing the sound through the grille instead of letting it bounce around (and distort) inside the door.
These pull 175W RMS each. If you're using thin factory wiring, the amp is struggling. Upgrade to NVX 16-gauge OFC speaker wire. Also, check for "shorts", if a terminal tab touches the metal of your door, the amp will trip to prevent a fire.
Pro speakers like these are midrange-focused, but you should still feel a "punch." If you don't, swap the (+) and (-) wires on one speaker. If they are wired out of phase, they cancel each other's sound waves. Flipping one side restores the punch.

These speakers are pretty crisp, clear and loud. The look is nice with the grills and I believe they were worth the money. They make up 2 out of 10 of my speakers and they definitely compliment the four 4", two 8", and two 15" speakers in my car
