Why choose the NVX VE-DOD-RAMQCCG3-D12S enclosure instead of a universal box?

This dual 12" enclosure is custom-fit for 2002–2018 Ram Quad/Crew Cabs. Its down-firing design fits perfectly under the rear seat, providing 1.2 cu. ft. of optimized airspace that universal boxes can't match without losing floor space.

I placed the box in position, but it feels loose. How do I secure it?

Check for interference with factory floor mats or storage dividers. To ensure a rock-solid fit, apply NVX SDRLR20 sound deadening to the floor. This provides a high-grip surface and prevents the enclosure from sliding during driving.

I’m hearing a whistling or air-leak sound after installing my subwoofer. What could cause this?

Whistling usually indicates air escaping the terminal cup or the sub-mounting flange. Use NVX SBP12 gasket foam tape to create an airtight seal between the woofer and the 3/4" MDF baffle, which is vital for this sealed design.

I installed everything but there is no sound from the subwoofer. What should I check?

Inspect the internal binding post connections. If using the factory Ram radio, you likely need a high-quality line output converter like the NVX XPLOC2 to convert the speaker signal into a clean RCA signal for your amplifier.

The enclosure fits the space, but my trunk floor panel doesn’t close. What should I do?

In the Ram, the "panel" is the rear bench seat. This box has a 5.5" mounting depth. If the seat won't lock down, ensure your 12" subs aren't too deep. Using shallow-mount subs like the NVX SMW12D4 ensures the seat frame clears the surround.

My subwoofer is working, but the bass sounds weak or hollow. How can I improve it?

Weak bass in dual setups is often due to phase cancellation; try reversing the (+) and (-) wires on one sub. Also, adding Polyfil inside the 0.6 cu. ft. chambers simulates a larger box for deeper, smoother low-end response.

Is there a pre-loaded version of this custom-fit enclosure available to make installation easier?

Yes. The LVE-DOD-RAMQCCG3-D12S is the pre-loaded version. It comes with two 12" NVX subwoofers pre-installed and wired to a 1-ohm load, delivering a perfectly tuned 800W RMS "drop-in" bass solution specifically for your Ram.
