The Kicker 52CVT122 is the standalone 12" component version of the CompVT shallow-mount series. Unlike the loaded enclosures (like the TRTP or TCWRT) we discussed earlier, this is the raw driver meant for custom-built boxes or thin-profile "stealth" installs in doors and panels.
It is specifically engineered to bridge the gap between "standard" subwoofers and "ultra-thin" ones. It features a top-mount depth of just 4-3/8 inches, yet it retains a high-excursion suspension that allows it to move more air than many other shallow subs on the market.
