Korean amplifiers frequently emphasize high damping factors and robust output stages, allowing better control of speaker drivers and stable operation with low-impedance or difficult speaker loads.

Can I run the XCA3K at 0.5 ohms?

XCA3K is a 1-ohm stable specialist. While some competitors try it, it generates extreme heat. Stick to 1 ohm for a no-stress system that hits hard every single day.

Where should I install the bass remote included with the XCA3K?

You can install the bass remote on the dash or under dash. Just make sure that the cable covers enough distance between the remote and the amplifier.

Why does XCA3K's bass knob have a voltmeter?

Amplifier bass knob generally helps you set the right gain, but XCA3K's bass knob also lets you monitor your electrical health in real-time. If you see it dip below 12V, it’s the solution for knowing when to turn it down before you damage gear.

I have a stock 4-gauge wire. Would this be enough for the XCA3K?

Not a chance. You need 1/0-gauge Oxygen-Free Copper (OFC). Using thin wire is like starving a marathon runner. The amp will run hot, lose power, and potentially shut down when the bass hits hard.

How can I use the strapping feature for the XCA3K?

First of all, strapping should involve two XCA3Ks to act as a loaded 6000W amp, making it highly capable for competition builds. Use the included RJ11 cable to connect both amps and sync gains for the perfect high output setting.

Why did the XCA3K go into 'protect' mode when the bass dropped?

Voltage drop is the suspect. If your car drops below 9.5V, the amp quits to save itself. Upgrading your alternator is the pro solution to keep the power flowing during massive 30Hz notes.

Do I need a second battery for the XCA3K?

Yes. At 3000W RMS, your stock battery is outmatched. Adding an AGM or Lithium bank in the trunk is the solution to voltage drop, ensuring your bass stays consistent and your electronics don't struggle.

Can I mount this on my subwoofer box?

We don't recommend it. Sub boxes vibrate violently. Over time, those vibrations can shake internal parts loose. Mount it to a separate rack or the floor for a vibration-free life.

Beast of an amp

This amp is a powerhouse. Just make sure you have the power to run it. I added a 250 amp alternator, big 3 wiring upgrade, and added x2 extra batteries and I still get voltage drop when the bass hits. Although it's above 12 v ( drops from 14.4 to 14 down to 13.3, sometimes lower, depending on the track. Super sleek design, the bass knob looks sleek as well. Excellent Korean amplifier. This amp caps off and showcases my all nvx build beautifully.

Highly underrated (so be careful), great looking, great sounding amplifier for your 3k ... or even 5 k needs (check the dyno video). I'm thoroughly impressed by it especially with the clarity and power. NVX has been my GO TO brand since I came across them and this amp is no disappointment regardless of what you put it up against.
