The speaker fits the factory hole, but the screw holes don't line up. What should I do?

The XQS2 includes a multi-application bracket for GM, Toyota, Chrysler, and more. Simply "snap off" the tabs that don't match your car's pattern to create a direct-fit adapter in seconds.

I’ve wired these into my dash, but I’m getting zero sound. How do I fix this?

These are 4-ohm midrange drivers, not plug-and-play tweeters. If you didn't use a crossover or a dedicated amp channel, the signal isn't reaching them. Use an NVX X-Series crossover to properly split the signal between your door and dash.

Why is the speaker making a distorted "popping" sound at low volume?

You are sending deep bass to a 2.5" cone. Set your High Pass Filter (HPF) to 200Hz on your amp or head unit. This protects the small voice coil from over-extending and stops the distortion immediately.

My dashboard cover won't snap back on because the speaker is too tall. Any solution?

The XQS2 is a "shallow mount" (1.27" deep), but if the rim is too high, remove the included decorative grille. If you still need a few millimeters, use a thin foam gasket to seat the speaker deeper into the dash opening.

I hear a "hissing" or static noise coming only from these speakers. How do I stop it?

These are highly sensitive. If your "Gain" is too high on the amp, you'll hear the system's "noise floor." Turn the amp gain down and the radio volume up. Also, verify your ground is on bare metal to eliminate electrical "hiss."
