Amazing Sound
I've always chosen JL audio for my car audio installs.
In a steal box environment it sounds absolutely amazing. I'm running a single 12" and couldn't be happier.

Great mid-line sub
This is my first 12" sub. I have used 10" in past. This one seems to offer a little lower frequency extension, with great control. I like rock and in a small sealed enclosure, it is plenty fast enough to keep up. Volume is great with 300w RMS 2 ohm. So far no cons, works as I expect it to.

Great sound quality
This is my 2nd JL sub after owning a 12W0 and they both sound great. The W1 sounds slightly better so I’d recommend it over the W0 For the extra $60-80. In a sealed truck box, I’m running it off of a JL JX 250/1 and LC2i along with the factory head unit.

Nice box, but?
This box sounds awesome with my NVX subwoofers. I had to reflue the poly inside the box because not enough glue from production. Also, the terminals are cheap. Replacement is recommended. All that aside this box hits hard with the optimal manufacturers recommended air space. I replaced some CT Sounds 1250 rms Stratos off a 2000.1D CT amps. They couldn't even keep up, even with thier amps.alway bottomed out. I put the NVX3s in A NVX box with the specs. Night and DAY. These subwoofers just my be better than the JL W7. By the way the CT Sounds are in a custom box .
