The Jensen JS40K is a high-performance 4" 3-way coaxial speaker pair from the Apex Series. Engineered as a robust upgrade to standard original-equipment factory sound, these drivers pack an impressive three-way acoustic layout into a compact footprint. By splitting frequencies across dedicated components, the JS40K is capable of outputting a richer, more defined soundstage that minimizes muddy mid-tones and distortion at higher volumes.
Acoustically, the heart of the speaker relies on a highly rigid Aramid fiber woofer cone wrapped in a resilient rubber surround, allowing the speaker to push tight, punchy mid-bass frequencies while holding up under automotive heat and moisture. Mid-range vocals are driven cleanly by a 1.1875" PEI dome midrange, while crisp, airy highs are rounded out by a dedicated 0.5" PEI dome tweeter. Managing 35 Watts RMS, these 4" speakers drop easily into factory dash or door locations to deliver immediate acoustic definition.
