JVC KD-HDR70

Great Radio

Love this radio great sound, compare to factory, look is appealing, have a kenwood in my other car thinking about replacing it with JVC KD-HDR70.

Great Buy

This deck is very nice. I've loved the different colors that it can change to, I usually set it on the red since it matches the other lights in my car perfectly at night. It's got the USB port in the front that i hook my ipod into which works great. The ONLY complaint i've got for it is that there aren't radio preset buttons, it's a little harder to shuffle through radio stations. But this isn't too much of a problem since i pretty much only use my pod. :)
Definitely a great buy if you want a simple deck that you can hook up amps to.

Great head unit

I would definatly recommend getting this head unit. Really made my speakers sound better and has the ability to do pretty much what you want for whatever type of setup you have. i have two 12" subs with its own amp, and a four channel amp going to four speakers and there was a noticable difference in sound quality from my old head unit. there are many pros to this product. A LOT of bells and whistles. Con would be that the remote is really tiny. thats really it for cons. fit in my car very well.

HI i highly recomend geting this head unit . pro sonic electronics give you installation gear for free ! THIS look beautiful with all the color options! IN stall was ok but in my 1997 LS blazer with s 10 dash it took some thinking but look grate just little off.best thing of all is that it made my two work stock speaker sound amazing. CONS BUT connectors that u get r trash but i use them any way witch worked fine for now. get this radio it grate thanks sonic for the grate shipping and services

Great system but beware of fitting it in Firebirds!

First of all this is a great system. It's easy to use and to understand and is way better in sound quality than the OEM Delco Symphony Sound unit that it's replaced.

However, although the suplied wiring harness was a breeze to match up, the fitment of the unit in my 91 Firebird was far from it! Because of the units longer back it stood proud of the center console by half an inch. This was solved by removing the center console (quite time consuming) and cutting out the locating hole in the back of it for the old unit which then allowed the unit to fit flush.
Also, the replacement surround for the new unit fitted ok, but there is no way to secure the unit to it or to the rear of the console leaving it completely unsecured! After much fabrication I now have the unit secure via four small bolts and another small steel frame.

Overall it's a great unit but I wouldn't say it was a direct fit in the Firebird (I assumed it was) unless you're willing to do some fabrication.

Good HD Radio with awesome features.

The HD is great when you can pick up a station, the different colors are good too. The only thing I wish the remote had more buttons and bigger. But its a good head unit compared to the sony I had in my car before.
