This combo package includes one RE Audio 10" SEX Series Subwoofer and a single 10" Sealed Subwoofer Enclosure. This sub enclosure is a perfect match for the 10" subwoofer. The RE Audio subwoofer features a dual composite 2-piece cone and a rubatek foam surround. This woofer is also equipped with 3" 4-layer Dual 4 ohm Voice Coils and a triple stacked magnet structure. The subwoofer enclosure is equipped with PolyFil for deeper bass and is constructed from durable 3/4" Medium Density Fiberboard covered in black carpet. In order to enhance the sound quality of your subwoofer, this package will also include four 12" x 36" pieces of Dead Shield Sound Dampening Material. Incredible sub, GREAT package price. Box is eh....
I absolutely love this sub. You cannot beat the price for the quality. I went from 2 crappy 10's in a sealed box to this setup and it is easily twice as loud. This sub hits lows better than my old JL12w3 and creates plenty of pressure even in this sealed box.
The box however is not made for this sub and not a perfect match. The air space is correct and will be to RE Audios recommended optimal sealed box specifications once you modify the box to fit the sub. That was frustrating since they are sold together but cutting out the opening a little was not difficult. I also had to re-glue the polyfill after wiring and modifying the box. Box also was missing a piece of carpet on the face and looked like there was a rusty staple in it. Oh well, don't care about looks!
However, for the price you cannot touch this package deal. I'd buy it again in a heart beat and recommend you do the same immediately.
Don't bother with kicker. Don't bother with two twelves of lesser quality. Get a small package that leaves you trunk space and makes plenty of bass!
