Okay, Until turned Up...
I had these speakers for 2 years, and I noticed these speakers or tweeters like to distort sharp high frequencies on songs that have a very exciting high end. I have a Rockford Fosagte P400-4 amp, and Pioneer P7400HD deck. When turned up to about more than a quarter or half way, hi hats, T's & S's in vocals start to distort... There could be other factors that might be causing the scratchy distortion. Like, EQ, gain etc... Maybe the amp is over powering them a little, but The FR series I have don't do this, And the FR series Kick some serious A**. I don't know how these X series replaced the FR's... Smh C'mon now. I think the tweeters are terrible on these X series 6x9's...
Anyway, I wouldn't recommend these. They sound alright, when they're not distorting. If you got an amp like Rockford Fosgate, be careful if you decide to get these...

Best Quality
I love my new 6x9 speakers and amp from RE Audio. Everyone thinks I have 10's in my trunk because they sound so kick ass. Thanks.

good bang for the buck
after having these for a few months I'd recommend buying them bc I havent had a problem with distortion or anything like that plus theyre pretty cheap for the $ and for what you get

Don't bother!
I had 2 pairs of 5-way 6x9 Kenwood speakers in my Camry with a different amp connected. My other amp was a 2 channel, so I wanted to buy a 4 channel amp to be able to fade. I switched out the speakers and noticed right off the bat that there was very little treble. Also, the speakers distorted a lot when the music was turned up past half way. I ended up switching them with some MB Quart equipment for about the same price.
