The CP106LG-W3v3 MicroSub is a compact bass solution for vehicles with limited space such as trucks or convertibles. This slot-ported enclosure is loaded with one 4-ohm 6W3v3-4 woofer. The W3v3 subwoofer is one of the cleanest, most efficient, and best sounding subwoofers in its class. The W3v3 features a DM Optimized Motor System that provides constant and strong linear excursion that result in reduced distortion and higher bass reproduction. These woofers also feature Elevated Frame Cooling technology that delivers cool air directly to the voice coil of the woofer. This increases power handling and sound quality. The W3v3 series subwoofers offer many more patented technologies that truly make this series stand out above the rest. If you are struggling on a decision, JL Audio will never disappoint.
The enclosure features top quality MDF (medium density fiberboard), cut using state-of-the-art CNC woodworking equipment, and covered with high-grade automotive carpeting. Extensive interior bracing permits the use of thinner MDF that maximizes the enclosure's internal volume relative to its exterior volume. Each driver is also protected by a black steel-mesh grille. It also features a side firing slot port. The flared port opening minimizes turbulence and improves overall fidelity. The port is a 1/2-inch high and 4-1/8-inch wide at the opening.
Every W3V3 subwoofer is built to exacting quality standards in JL Audio's Miramar, Florida factory. Each of the four models is a completely original design from surround to back-plate (even the bolts and screws used in assembly have been purpose-designed and manufactured to our specifications). The Hot setup for limited space
I bought the sub almost a year ago. I have been amazed at its performance ever since. I put it in my race/street Cobra. A MTX 250wt mono amp powers this beast. It Hits almost as hard as the two 10's (in thunder form box) that I have in my Dodge Ram p/u w/ 1000wt mono

Probably the most underrated pre-made sub/box I have used, truly awesome performance.
I have read several other reviews from other sites, and was extremely skeptical, but I will agree, this is basically as good if not better than a budget 10" sub.
Pro's, awesome output for its size, and great tight response.
Con's, my carpet was already fraying out of the box, and the positive terminal was over tightened, and basically "stripped".
If you're limited on size, this will more than do it for you, I had less than 1/8th " to spare, and the box didn't let me down, I just wish the carpet was better.
Lastly, it does upset me they "Recommend" 150 watts RMS max, when, the driver is beyond underrated, be sure to throw some power at it.

I put this JL Audio MicroSub CP106LG-W3v3 behind the seat in my 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid. This truck has very little room for a sub and the CP106LG-W3v3 just barely fits. I'm glad I decided to go with the tight fit vs some smaller solution. This sub has even more bass than I had imagined it would have. I'd but another one anytime.
