awsome product

I purchased this power supply to test lights and other electrical equipment before installing them in my boat. It has served me well. Also if I have an electrical problem in the boat instead of turning on the batteries I can hook up this power supply which gives me more control while testing. This is an awsome unit and has been extremely useful.

Pyramid PS15KX - Good quality product

I am using this power supply to drive a telescope mount. So far, after months of use it has been working great even in temperatures -20C. I would recommend it.

A useful and sound product

I have been quite pleased with my Pyramid PS15KX. I have had no troubles at all when using it and it seems well made. I previously had a similar product made by another manufacturer which was satisfactory for a period of time. However, after about 5 years the main power switch failed, which I found to be a silly and needless annoyance (Let's see, you are making a product that has ONE moving part that is a very, very minor share of the overall cost (1-2%). Should you make sure the one moving part is a high quality component that won't fail under any normal use scenario or not?)

Anyway, I bought the Pyramid because the manufacturer of the unit I previously bought apparently didn't see the need to make sure its one moving part was of high quality. The Pyramid appears to be better made--no problems in the first six months and nothing indicates that there will be any problems in the future.

Good Purchase

I use the power supply to run an HT in the house and to charge the HT when it goes outside. I have used to power an HF radio and all applications have been carried out without a hitch --- Good Unit!

Great Value

I originally purchased this power supply for use with my 10 Meter ham radio. I now find myself using it for my 10 Meter, 6 Meter and 2 Meter ham radios. This power supply is one of the best purchases in my radio shack. It has not failed me and probably will not.

Gets the job done

I bought this in summer of 2016 and was able to hook it up to a 200w alpine car amp to power a 12-inch kicker solo-baric subwoofer (2 ohms) inside my apartment all connected to insignia stereo receiver NS-STR514, with a set of JBL speakers for highs and midrange). Thing is, I'm going to buy another one of these and use it to power another kicker sub for the patio, as there's enough room on the receiver to add another sub to it.

I'm not able to turn the music all the way up, so it will sometimes drain all the power and force it to go into a cooling period. Granted it was not intended to power a car sub. But it bumps, and that's all that really matters. Still works after daily use for the last 10 months.
