The upgraded Silverline DUO is a vehicle specific integration solution for iPod, iPhone + Internet Radio Application and SIRIUS Satellite Radio. Internet Radio is now accessible on the go with the Livio Car Internet Radio App running on an iPhone or iPod Touch! Data connections including “3G” or “4G” through wireless carriers, or a third-party wireless Internet access point connected to our mobile device thru WiFi can be used to stream internet radio.
The optional remote package makes it easier than ever to navigate the songs on your iPod or iPhone. Featuring shortcut buttons designed to easily navigate through playlists, artists and albums and SIRIUS presets.
Bring your iTunes collection to your car on your iPod or iPhone. Both will offer the same features and level of integration while the iPhone will also let you stream and listen to music through 3G. A new edition to the Silverline series is the ability to retain factory SIRIUS satellite radio or add an aftermarket SIRIUS radio tuner using the Audiovox AACCSATCBL adapter and V200 SIRIUS XM Tuner for satellite-ready stereos.
The Silverline DUO includes everything needed to connect an iPod or iPhone to your vehicle’s factory radio system. The interface delivers great sound quality with balanced audio design and creates a seamless interconnection between the devices and the entertainment system of the vehicle. Text display is available on the radio systems where CD or SAT text is supported. The interface also delivers integrated control from the radio, steering wheel, the connected device or from an optional remote. The DUO also keeps the iPod and iPhone charged and ready to go.
Available now on the iTunes Store, try the FREE app and listen to hundreds of internet-based radio programming options streamed through the 3G/Edge or Wi-Fi connection. The OEI Control App allows a 12 volt installer to easily customize the integration module during the installation with an elegant and easy to use user interface, conduct basic trouble shooting and even reach Audiovox customer service directly with a touch of a button. Features include verification of the module, its firmware version, enabling and disabling sources and adjusting the audio levels of various connected devices. End users will also benefit from the use of the Audiovox OEI Control App by being able to utilize the iPhone as a remote controller and source selector device and even control the connected satellite radio tuner or connected Bluetooth accessory.

Tempermental, But Does the Job
I bought this for my 2006 convertible mini cooper. An audio/ alarm shop was able to install this with no problem. The ipod output cable is one of those older 30 pin lightening styles so I had to buy an adapter, which was fine.
When this works properly the sound is great, the ipod charges, you can see the title of the song, and you can change songs using your stereo or steering wheel vs having to use the ipod itself.
I have no trouble when I use my brand new iPhone. However, when I use my ipod touch which is only a year and a half old (5th generation), 75% of the time the screen on my stereo just says "attached" and won't register each song. This is a bigger problem than you think bc it's not just the slight inconvenience of not being able to read what song you're listening to on the stereo, you also can't advance tracks using your stereo or steering wheel, you have to use the ipod. I learned through some research that you have to make sure your ipods screen is off and locked so that it knows that you don't want to operate through the ipod, you want to operate through the stereo. As a result, each time i plug the ipod back in i have to go through 5 mins of plugging, unplugging, turning it on and off, changing modes on the stereo several times before it will act right. Ultimately I am going to have to get an additional ipod that I can just leave plugged in in the car so that I don't have to go through this ritual every time.
Other than that, once it's operating it's great, and this problem doesn't exist with new model iPhones.
I have not used the satellite connection but was disappointed to learn that it does not work with the cigarette lighter/portable style sirius satellite tuner, which is what I have.
Overall despite the bugs, a good product and great way to bring my car later into the 21st century.
