Now users of Android devices running operating system 4.0 or later can connect and listen to music stored on their device to a compatible Pioneer CD receiver without the need for an app. The process is made possible using Media Transfer Protocol (MTP). MTP allows the Pioneer receiver to recognize the Android smartphone as a music storage device. Users can now access music via USB stored on an Android device and operate basic operations like FF, REW, Play, Pause, Random Play, and Repeat. Metadata information such as track, artist, and album name can be displayed.
From hands-free calling, wireless audio streaming, simple pairing, and voice recognition, Bluetooth wireless technology has made life in the car much easier. All new Pioneer CD receivers with Bluetooth include all these features and a couple more worth noting. The first is iPhone Bluetooth pairing via USB where the iPhone is connected to the Pioneer receiver with the appropriate USB cable. The user will then be prompted to pair with the receiver on the iPhone. Press “OK” and the iPhone is paired. This feature is great where there are multiple devices active and you are trying to search for and connect to a certain device. New Pioneer CD receivers with Bluetooth also have added a “Guest Mode” which allows a user to add and replace a mobile device instantly to the receiver. Guest Mode is a great feature for a family vehicle with multiple drivers or a driver with multiple devices because it allows users to pair and delete devices easily without a lengthy registration or deletion process.
The 2014 line of Pioneer CD receivers with Bluetooth wireless technology have the ability to utilize the voice recognition engine that is part of the operating system on a user’s smartphone. This feature is compatible with iOS devices that have voice recognition capability. iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 users can take advantage of Siri Eyes Free functionality with a touch of a button. When activated, Siri voice prompts play through the vehicle’s speakers and the user’s commands and questions are received and transmitted to the receiver using the external microphone. Siri Eyes Free provides access to many iPhone functions such as music selection; making phone calls; and listening to text message, calendar information, and reminders

pioneer deh x6600bs
Blue tooth works perfect. Once I linked with my galaxy 5 phone, all my songs can be played from my phone. If my phone is with me and I start up my truck, the sterio automatically links with my phone and starts playing. I don't even have to take my phone out! The front USB port is handy as is the microphone. I plugged it into the back of the sterio and ran it up my steering column and clipped it in place. Now if I'm listening to a tune and my phone rings, it stops the tune and I can talk normal and the microphone picks up my voice. The callers voice comes out my speakers. Best sterio to date.

You can never go wrong with a Pioneer deck
I owned the baby brother of this deck (6600BT) and I just had to this deck for my other car which uses a multiple amp set up, that is where those beautiful 3 pairs of RCA outs come into play. Built in Bluetooth works great during phone calls and Pandora streaming. This deck does it all, very user friendly with a nice variety of settings to get the sound you desire.

I've owned many of Pioneer radios over the past decade and they have always been top quality products and are always on top of the market with new features! This radio is by the best you can get for the price range it is in! Bluetooth works flawlessly as does the A2DP streaming. The look is very appealing to the eyes especially at night and it's beyond user friendly! Definitely recommend this radio to anyone looking for a great replacement!
