I love this unit.
I bought one of these for my car and really like it. My wife wanted one so I bought another for her van. In my car I also installed four Fosgate Prime 3-way speakers. Man, it sounds fantastic!! For my wife's van I removed the factory speakers and put in the Ford speakers I removed from my car. I had to make a bracket to get them to fit. The sound is better than stock but not as good as the Fosgates. Anyway, back to the JVC unit. The controls are easy to use and navigation through the menu items is simple. Great unit for the price.

jvc kd x 310bt review
i got this deck because ive had 3 other jvc car stereo head units in the past. i bought a blaupunkt (non blue tooth) head unit recently and really liked the things i was used to in the jvc unit. i got this one for the increased functionality of blue tooth capabilities. unfortunately i haven't installed it yet! my truck is having transmission probs and i'm getting rid of it, so not installing any gear in it!

Playing FLAC files
Wanted to upgrade the factory sound system on a Nissan Altima 2012 on a budget package to get some solid sound staging and clarity to play FLAC files.
The configuration was: this head unit+Pioneer TS-A1685R (mounted on custom molded kick panel speaker pods--molding and tuning done by myself)+Kenwood KFC-ST01 on A-pillar+Alpine head unit power pack bridged to provide 2 channels.
Got everything what I wanted for the money spent--excellent!
Things to watch out if anyone is interested on buying one of these:
(1) Plays only FLAC with bit rate of 16-bit w/ sampling rate of 8-48 kHz...so be careful here if you are planning on playing studio quality FLAC files...I missed this and found it by trial and error as the high def files in my collection were not read by the head unit.
(2) The tuner is not as powerful compared to the factory head unit in picking up weaker signals....I wonder whether this is something to do with the dual antenna line inputs to the factory head unit or something like that??? Anyway, this is not important to me as I hardly listen to the tuner.
By the way Sonic Electronix rock...price, service, shipping, product range, etc.... Keep up the good work!!!!!!!

Great features and value!
I've had this unit for a couple of weeks. It's installed in my Jeep. I love the Bluetooth feature. I can play music from my Android phone and answer and place calls through the Jeep's speakers and supplied microphone. I also have a iPod that I connect with a USB cable.
It is easy to setup, but I would prefer a quicker way to cycle through the EQ settings.
I haven't used the Pandora or iheartradio feature but I'm sure they would work equally as well.
Overall this is a great head unit and a great price, made even better because Sonic Electronix matched a lower price I found elsewhere.

great buy
Bought one for my truck, one for my sister, and gonna buy another for my motorcycle. Gonna try covering the face with clear plastic that I can remove with Velcro. Went through two marine stereos that weren't cheap. If I can get this to last just as long and have Bluetooth I'll be happy.

Does what it says
This head unit offers a lot of functionality. With bluetooth support (calls and general audio), aux, and radio for when your phone dies, it's perfect.
If using other inputs and you have bluetooth set up, audio source will switch over automatically when you receive a call. This is good (can listen to radio and still have hands-free technology)
One thing to note is that there is only one display mode that shows the current time. This is a con if you plan to use any other display mode, such as showing the song name or artists. Eventually I'll probably tape a cheap walmart watch to my dash to make up for it.
Had some troubles with bluetooth playback although it was no fault of the unit. Music from iPod played great but from my phone it was very flat and occasionally 'skipped'/buffered. Applied a custom patch to my phone (was on 4.2.2 CWM) and it now works perfectly.
I recommend this for a budget head unit.

I love this interface
I highly recommend this awesome radio. Bluetooth, USB, pandora. What more could you ask for.

Not as nice as i hoped for
The head unit is OK in the way that it does what you ask of it. The down side is that it has the absolute most unintuitive controls I have ever experienced in my life. Tapping the volume button will not get you to the fader or bass mid high controls like every other head unit ever I have ever owned. And navigating the menus to customize settings is a trip. I would suggest hanging on to the instructions until you get the hang of it. With all that being said it seems this is built around making phone calls with the music as an afterthought which is fine except it takes upwards of 2 minutes to connect Bluetooth every time you turn it off.

Great unit for those who don't fuss with CDs anymore.
This's a great headunit. I bought it July of 2013, and a year later, it's performing just as expected. Bluetooth connectivity is a breeze and the built-in calling/answering functions work nice (depress large volume knob to answer, hold small button with phone icon to hang up). Other features require a dive into the owner's manual, so keep that in mind. But otherwise, it performs the "meat" of its duties well.
