Installed in 2004 Pontiac Bonneville. Works Great! The Chime can be loud or quiet, depending which way the box is facing, it has an awkward ding, kind of has an echo to it. I didnt like the noise, so i covered the hole with some electrical tape, and it is much quieter.

Works great except it is really loud and sounds like someone is strangling a cat. I am going to wrap it in electrical tape to try to muffle it just a bit.

I've been using this in a 2003 Pontiac Bonneville with an Alpine head unit. I tried another unit first, but it didn't work for me. One consideration is that the chime isn't very loud, but I consider that a good thing.

I would not recommend this product based solely upon my own experience. The device worked as advertised at first. It tested well before the finished installation. However, within a week it began to shutdown the head unit for no reason. At first, I suspected a connection issue so I pulled everything part and verified the wiring. I tightened all the connections and reassembled my dash only to have it quit repeatedly. I replaced the unit with a similar device available at Sonic.
