Tarantula subwoofers have grown to meet various performance and placement goals in recent years, keeping your, the Soundstream fanatic, suggestions in mind. However, more often than not, Soundstream hears your calls to bring back a legend.
Improvements include direct connect wire leads, over-saturated 12mm top plate and t-yoke, & double-stitched cone to high-density polyether foam surround for improved sound quality. Key components that you expect from T5 remain; big ass 3” voice coil, a triple-stack magnet assembly, high-density Spruce pulp sub-cone, and the iconic black-on-black Soundstream Spider. The T5 can handle a lot of power, so be sure to choose a suitable amplifier as these bass monsters want lots of power. Its different impedance configurations offer wiring flexibility you’ll appreciate as your system changes and grows, so you can always pull maximum power from your amp. It works well in sealed and ported enclosures, so you can choose what kind of bass you want to hear and feel.

Amazing Bass for the money
Id recomend this to some one with a budget. I used to have 2 scousche 15inch efx series subs and this 1 tarantula kicks alot harder than the 2 efx subs combined. Over the tarantula is a beast ready to pound and the materials feel high quality and solid

I have these subwoofers in a dual 2 cu Ft sealed enclosure. They are very clean and hit high in the HZ for 15"s. They can handle every bit of bit 1300 wrms because they could handle a Hifonics X1900.1 on each I,don't know if being in a sealed enclosure will help them handle more power but I like SQ of sealed. Will try in vented enclosure this spring to test spl output. Hope I could help you out.

Great response and looks good. It takes a beating. Reconing is pretty easy too….but very doubtful you’ll ever need to.

This speaker is wired to a 4ohm load in a single speaker box. The box is 4sq feet and it pounds!!! I do plan to buy another of these speakers with a dual 4 ohm so I can get all of the available power from my amplifier, and enjoy this speaker in it's intended environment.
This speaker is well built and looks great when you open the trunk. The power handling is perfect. I definitely recommend this item for those looking to get the job done and save some space.
