This amp is just awesome... Its pushing two 15" Kicker CVX dual voice coil 4 ohm with ease. Ill probally upgrade to Kicker L7 .Plays at 1ohm no problem.This amp is a Beast.... Pure solid power super clean bass. No distortion. For the price i highly suggest this amp.......Hands Down....And 10 stars for Sonic Electronics ....These guys are the best. Very professional great customer service...1 Time for Maxxsonixxs Great job....On the Brutus line ampflifiers....

you get what you pay for
I order this thinking of the old hifonix, received this product. installed it( now keep in mind I just put it were my JL was, same size wire in, ground, extra) lights came on, no out put. Sonix electronics did a wonderful job replacing it, it coast me $26.00 to send it back. the new one arrived this one worked, although I was not impressed. I have a infinity 611A from a few years ago that hit harder. so I did ny self a favore and went and purchased a Rockford fosgat 1500.1bdc and OO my lord. it ponds my massive adio 124dvc so hard it bluw the kicker box apart... so do your self a favor do not take a chance with this new hifonix. it deffinetly is not the good old stuff. purchase Rockford fosgate, Treo or DC audeo amp"s if you can. it will be the last amps you will ever buy. I cant get anyone to purchase the 2416.1- brutus. with only 20 min play time. personally, DC audio, and Rockford are the only way to go if you want quality sound with glass breaking power.. I am taking my vehicle to in phase car audio here in Omaha Nebraska for a custom box in January, I am replacing the massive 12" 4 OPHM DV summon, with a massive 12" DV 2 OHM. from sonic.. 2.66 cub ft. baffled and tuned for my vehicle.. I am 50 years old and I love the base, drive home from working all day and receive a awesome massage.. Mudvan, Rob zombie, god smack OOO My MY .. DC 3.5K in my 2003 alreo with 28000 mile and Rockfrd 1500.1 power series in my 2009 HHR SS. All in All Sonic is awesome. HIFONIX sorry guys they suck!! Also I purchased the new SONY 100 WATT CHANEL HEAD UNIT. Save your money the 2 year old pioneer sounds better and will clearly out preform this Sony for all the extra work involved with installation. The head unit not so grand for the price.. I will be purchasing a new pioneer for the HHR and getting rid of the Sony.. Once again sonic did a great job in sailing these products, all in all the hifonics and the sony coast $535.00, worst $500 I have ever spent..

Hifonics Brutus BRX2416.1D (Newest Model of the BRX2400.1D)
I have 2 fosgate P3 12s and it pushes them to the max at about half power and stays cool. Great buy and completely worth the money for a budget 2k rms amp.

Awesome amp
I had a Brutus amp for 7 years and it never gave me any trouble and done a great job of pushing my subwoofer. I decided to go with a higher wattage amp so I went with this. For the money you absolutely can’t beat this amp.

Great amp for the price
I'm running two VCW 12s at 2 ohms and my system slaps. If you are looking for serious sound without spending a lot of money I definitely recommend this amp.
