Boss MC300 motorcycle speaker system

December 9, 2012

I mounted my system on an 850 cc utility quad ATV. It has been thrashed quite a bit over the last several months and the system is still working. I regularly pressure wash it, and mounted the amp inside the headlight pod, but the speakers get hosed alot and still work great. Low to medium quality sound but fairly loud. I use it for GPS voice nav and occasional music.

Boss MC300 Speakers - CRAP

November 17, 2015

I bought these speakers 30 days ago. I was pretty excited to get such a great "Deal" on them, and had them installed immediately upon receiving them. I used them approximately 10 times within the month, and then they stopped working abruptly. Very frustrated, and will not go back to using another pair of cheap speakers again.

Has been a great addition

March 17, 2016

I put this on a 2005 Honda Shadow Sabre 1100 it was easy to install and fit well.. I will say that if you are using a smart phone as I am to play music downloading a equalizer with a sound or bass booster makes a huge difference in sound quality. My bike is not to loud but no quiet either and it is really pretty loud !! Being able to adjust the sound level also helps with sound quality on certain songs . I like metal and classic rock both sound good... No problem so far have had it and used it for about a month ... At least ten times.... I also have a windshield which I'm sure makes a big difference if you didn't have one but as with any system I would think....

is thismp3compatable?
A shopper on Aug 7, 2014
Best Answer: Yes. The system has a built in amplifier that you power (preferably to a toggle or acc switch) the actual speakers connect to anything that has an aux jack. Phones mp3s ect.

when i rev up my harley the speakers cut out what is the problem?
charlie m on May 17, 2015
Best Answer: Your regulator may be over charging the battery & you are getting too high a voltage to the speakers. you can check the voltage input , Then maybe put a filter/ regulator inline to the power supply..Or just check all power connections a bad ground is a sleeping nightmare..This is just my guess. Good luck

Can you power these with 12v USB power adapter?
Popster on Feb 8, 2015
Best Answer: no unfortunatlly u can not, they r setup to get conected to your fusebox besides your motorcycle battery, im assuming u r purchasing this for your motorcycle but if u r getting them for a boat or atv it would be similar, but the usb adapter would still serve a good purpose because you could charge your mp3 player or cell phone etc, they sound great by the way, great sound for the price...
