Why are my speakers making a "popping" sound or cutting out at higher volumes after installation?

This is usually caused by a loose connection or a short circuit. Check that the terminal slides are crimped tightly and ensure no part of the speaker wire is touching the metal frame of your car door, which causes grounding issues.

The speaker fits the hole, but I can't get the mounting screws to line up with my factory holes. What should I do?

Factory holes rarely align perfectly with aftermarket speakers. Use the included multi-hole mounting brackets or a vehicle-specific adapter plate. If a small gap remains, pre-drill new holes into the door metal for a secure fit.

I installed the speakers, but the bass sounds thinner than my old factory ones. Did I do something wrong?

You likely have a "Phase" issue. Swap the positive and negative wires on only one speaker. If the wires are reversed on one side, the sound waves cancel each other out, resulting in a significant loss of low-end frequencies.

There is a buzzing noise coming from the door panel now that the speakers are installed. How do I stop it?

High-excursion speakers like the VSP65 can cause thin door metal or loose plastic clips to vibrate. Apply a small piece of sound-dampening material (like NVX SDGK4) around the mounting hole to create a gasket and absorb vibrations.

My factory wiring doesn't match the terminals on the VSP65. Should I cut my car’s original wires?

To avoid cutting factory harnesses, we recommend using "plug-and-play" speaker wire adapters. If you must cut them, the larger terminal on the VSP65 is Positive (+), and the smaller one is Negative (-). Use insulated crimp connectors.

Won't disappoint

Very impressive speakers at a great price. Now when I'm cruising in the boat. I can hear the music clearly. The lights are a great feature. Only reason it's not all 5 stars. I haven't had them to long so not sure on durability. Seems well built though. Second instruction say 6 in cut out. Well I cut the first hole 6 in. And it was not correct. Cut a 5 in hole. If you want a good budget speaker. These are what you should get
