The THUNDER1000.1 is a high-powered 1000-watt RMS amplifier designed to be installed in almost any vehicle due to its small chassis size. Its power capability makes it a perfect choice for running single or multi-woofer sound systems without worrying about compromising bass output or quality. This amp features a high-efficiency Class D circuit design chosen for its ability to produce high output power while minimizing power loss to heat build-up. It’s this capability that makes it perfect for driving woofers to their limits and delivering that vehicle shaking bass you want.
In addition to the circuit design, MTX also added the features you need to fine tune your system sound such as the built-in variable low pass crossover, selectable bass boost circuit and variable subsonic filter. This is why MTX use set-screw style terminals to provide the most secure connection possible which minimizes any power loss while delivering all the power to the amplifier and to the speakers.

Best budget 1000 watt rms cea-2006 compliant amp in class
set my gain at a little under half way for my 2.2v RCA out on my pioneer head unit and it was absolutely amazing!!! I ordered this one time before from another retailer and it was defective, it got really hot!! soon the sound quality went down. tried multiple amps in between and decided i would give this amp a chance again. this one from sonic electronix was not defective.
Pros: it brought my 2 12" l5 subs to life!! really good on low notes does OK on mid bass. 50hz bass boost is more linear than 45hz or 40hz on past amps.
cons: this is whats bad, the small hex key is used for the speaker wire terminals. these should have been bigger screws its kinda tough to screw them in with larger gauge wire. one star off for look/design for this.
I am over all pleased with this amp!!
