For over two decades, AudioControl has been designing and manufacturing award-winning autosound products at our factory located in the rainforests of the Pacific Northwest. "Can you really win without AudioControl", was part of an article written commenting on competition winning systems. Nothing sounds better than an awesome recording played back on a kickbutt system. Unfortunately, the acoustics of your vehicle can take away from your systems performance. While AudioControl products do not change the laws of physics (although they act like they do), autosound enthusiasts have long known that AudioControl products "make good stereo sound better".
The EQL works wonders with any 2 channel audio system: From existing factory installed setups to custom audiophile-grade systems. Level-matching circuitry allows connection to either preamp-level or speaker-level inputs. The EQL also features thirteen-band, dual-bandwidth equalization and a Programmable Frequency Match (PFM) filter for precise bass control.
The dual bandwidth design of the EQL concentrates more control in the lower bass frequencies where the interior of an automobile causes problems. The higher frequency controls are spaced on octave centers to give you complete control up to 16,000 Hz. No simple dash-mount equalizer gives you this kind of flexibility.
True standards in car stereo are hard to find. Every manufacturer has a slightly different interpretation of things. The input and output level controls on the EQL bring everything together. Now any head unit can be connected to any amplifier and the will system sound great.
The EQL takes noise rejection a step further than the average by incorporating balanced differential input circuitry. By looking at the output from your source unit in a different way the EQL can reject up to 60 dB of radiated noise.
AudioControl's Programmable Frequency Match (PFM) filter system brings out the best in any system. A modular programmable low-cut frequency filter allows the system installer to easily customize the bass roll-off to match any speaker design. Unruly subwoofer boxes can finally be brought under control.

Thank God it's Made in USA!!!
The unit is pretty awesome. I bought it for a system to be used in my basement. I paired it with a hefty Soundstream Tarantula amplifier. Lots of power, lots of clarity. Source unit is a vintage Sony walkman. Am very pleased with the overall sound quality, especially considering how little I paid for the system.

great tuning!
if you have a amp running a component set. Then this is some thing you should look into! It even sends a higher volt signal to your amp acting as a inline line driver! Must get!

Awesome product, value
So far I am extremely pleased with product especially since it was a gift works flawlessly fine tuned with a real time spectrum analyzer (R.T.A.)..
Pros: great clean sound easy installation USA built.great build quality and, all tuning frequencies are dead on.the crossover is a plus but would be nice if it was a three way but the two way works great.
Cons: only minor thing is some of the knob a bit hard to turn than others not a big deal but made tuning a Lil difficult for precision tuning.
I will most definitely reccomended this wonderful unit.
