The Santoprene rubber surround of the L5 handles the power of the motor and cone, and a rear foam gasket secures the stamped-steel basket to any given baffle. Kicker still outstanding
The first Kicker I owned was a competition 12 and it was really amazing. I think the solo-baric series is even more amazing in terms of output and box size. I built a custom box for my 8" solo-baric and installed it behind the seat in my Honda. It took a lot of planning to get the box design right, but once you decide on the dimensions and port length, it will really sound awesome and that's what matters. Keep in mind, that because of the square cone, you will be getting a surface area that is more similar to a 10".

Wow!!!
I installed this in the center console of a 2003 Tundra with roughly .35 of vol. It is amazing. It won't rattle your doors off but will allow you to get a solid sound with virtually no space.
