The Kenwood KFC-P710PS is an "oversized" 6.5" component system from the Performance Series, designed to deliver a more accurate and balanced soundstage than standard coaxial speakers. By separating the woofer from the tweeter, this system allows for better high-frequency placement in your vehicle, significantly improving the clarity and "presence" of vocals and instruments.
The KFC-P710PS features an Injection-Molded Polypropylene (IMPP) woofer with a unique Diamond Array Pattern etched into the cone. This design increases the rigidity of the diaphragm, reducing internal vibrations and providing a cleaner mid-bass response. This is paired with a 1" soft dome tweeter that utilizes a neodymium magnet for smooth, detailed high frequencies. To simplify installation, Kenwood includes in-line crossover networks, which eliminate the need to mount bulky external crossover boxes.
