All of our wires are made with 100% Oxygen-Free Copper with NO aluminum blend, unlike some of our competitors. Advantages to OFC include increased conductivity to carry more current to your amplifier, reduced strain on your vehicle’s electrical system, and improved heat absorption. Our power and ground wires are CTA-2015 compliant. At NVX, we are completely transparent with how many wire strands are in each cable, so you know exactly how thick each one is. Our competitors will never be that upfront with you.

Long-Lasting Design

Since our wires made with 100% OFC, we want to make sure that they last for a while and won’t corrode over time. That is why all our power/ground wires are silver-tinned, keeping them protected over time and not having to worry about them corroding. Like all of our other wires, the power/ground wires are engineered with our EnvyFlex technology. The outer jacket makes installation an easy process since it allows you to route the wire even in the tightest spots of your vehicle.

Is 5 feet enough for my amplifier ground?

Yes. For best performance, grounds should be under 3 feet. This 5ft section allows you to reach a solid chassis point while keeping resistance low, preventing the "alternator whine" caused by long, thin ground wires.

Can I use this for a "Big 3" upgrade on a small car?

Yes. This 5ft section is ideal for the battery-to-chassis ground. Replacing thin factory wires with this 4-gauge OFC is a permanent solution for stabilizing voltage and reducing the strain on your vehicle's alternator.

The 4-gauge wire strands are fraying at the amp. Any solution to this?

Do not trim the copper strands to fit. Use NVX 4-gauge wire ferrules. This bundles all 1,862 strands into a solid cylinder, ensuring a 100% connection and preventing "stray strands" from shorting against your amplifier's chassis.

Is this wire flexible enough for a motorcycle install?

Yes. The EnvyFlex PVC jacket is extremely flexible, making it the perfect solution for snaking through tight fairings or under seats. It handles tight bends without kinking or putting stress on your battery terminals.

What size ring terminal should I use for a battery post?

Use an NVX 4-gauge ring terminal with a 5/16" or 3/8" hole, depending on your battery bolt. Crimp it tightly and use heat shrink to seal the connection, preventing moisture from wicking into the silver-tinned copper strands.
