Is 10 feet enough to reach my trunk from the battery?

In most compact cars, 10 feet is too short for a full run. Solution: Use this 10ft section for dual-battery setups or for grounding a rear battery bank to the chassis. For a standard front-to-back run, you will need the 20ft XW0BL20.

Can I use this for my alternator "Big 3" upgrade?

Yes. This 10ft length provides enough wire to complete the alternator-to-battery, battery-to-chassis, and engine-to-chassis runs. Replacing thin factory wires with 1/0 OFC is the best solution for high-output alternators.

The 1/0 wire won't fit my amplifier's 4-gauge input. What to do?

Do not trim the copper strands. Solution: Use an NVX 1/0 to 4-gauge wire reducer. This allows you to maintain the massive current capacity of the 1/0 wire while cleanly and safely adapting it to fit a smaller amplifier terminal.

How do I properly strip this thick 1/0-gauge wire?

Because of the high strand count, using a pocket knife can damage the copper. Solution: Use a dedicated 1/0-gauge wire stripper or a utility knife to carefully score the PVC jacket in a circle, then pull the insulation off to keep all 4,704 strands intact

What size fuse should I use for a 10-foot 1/0 run?

For a 10-foot run of 1/0 OFC, you can safely use a 300-Amp ANL fuse. Always place the fuse holder within 18" of the battery to protect your vehicle's chassis from a fire in the event of a catastrophic short circuit.
