The CTX108 features a poly-mica cone woofer and butyl-rubber surround for durability and optimum performance. In addition, the CTX series also features a conex spider with integrated tinsel leads for enhanced long linear excursion. So if you are looking to add quality bass without drying up your budget, then the Image Dynamics' CTX subwoofer series are the ones for you.
Single 8-Ohm Subwoofer drivers, like the Image Dynamics CTX108, are intended to be wired as a pair to achieve a final impedance of 4-Ohms or even 2-Ohms when wiring up four at a time. The CTX108 is designed for different wiring variations in mind, including the addition of more subwoofers - without having to spend too much.
