VMAX series subwoofers, like the VMAX152, has been the most popular, award-winning, series of Cerwin-Vega subwoofers for the last 10 years for many reasons. The series of subwoofers are offered in a 10", 12", and 15" size with each respective size having the option of a Dual 2 ohm or Dual 4 ohm voice coil. They offer a power rating of 1000 watts peak and 500 watts of continuous RMS power making them your daily "ground-pounders". With these many different sizes and impedance options, these woofers offer versatility and a significant amount of bass that is sure to fit anyone's bass needs. The woofers feature a composite polypropylene cone and a wider larger than normal rubber surround for increased excursion level, performance, quality, and strength. The use of O2 Cast technology increases basket strength and lowers basket resonance, which also increases the quality and performance of the subwoofers. The woofers also feature cross-flow window venting that reduces voice coil temperatures and radial contact convex domes that reduce cone flex and minimize distortion. I have always loved Cerwin Vega speakers since purchased my first set in 1971, whether it's for the house or car they deliver tremendous bass and take a beating. I would not dream of purchasing any other
subwoofer.

Great sub!
We put this sub in a 3.25 cu.ft ported enclosure tuned to 35HZ with 42 sqin of port. It slams on everything. It's wired to 1 ohm on an Autotek amp, so it's seeing 300-500 watts rms. Very loud, clean and durable. This is a very good sub, especially for the price. A grand prix trunk by the way.

Great value!
This is the sub that you want in your ride. I'm telling you I always liked Cerwin Vegas. Some of the younger generation never heard of Cerwin Vega but they're awesome. Give them a try I promise you that you want be disappointed. I have one 15" in my suv re audio 1500.1 I'm running the sub at 4ohms which is 410 rms and it wants alot more. When you buy a sub and amp be sure you check the rms power not peak. Try to put them in a ported box if you can. They will play a lot louder. Use 3/4inch mdf wood too.

cv makes some good subs
I had 2 of these in a 5 cube 29hz box. First day I had them, I was running 125 rms to each sub to break them in. I set off car alarms running 1/5 what they can actually handle. nuff said.
