Pioneer AVH-2300NEX
This replaced a Pioneer 80PRS. I do miss having more than 1 usb input, and the 80PRS was easier to skip folders on a usb drive. But this is a good double din at a good price that has Android Auto.

Great Audio
This is an easy install and the unit has great sound. I installed it in about 2 hours in my 2012 Silverado. I am using the speakers that we in the vehicle and the sound is very good. It is also Android and IPhone compatible.

Pioneer AVH-2300NEX
I have never wanted a touchscreen in any vehicle, ever. I prefer the tactile feel of buttons that I can operate without taking my eyes off the road. The prospect of Android Auto changed that.
I can't say that I really have any complaints here either. Yeah, it's a little annoying to have to look down to get finger placement correct on the screen, but it's not bad. The touchscreen is responsive, and minimizes frustration. And it does work with gloves.
Performance wise, this headunit performs as I'd expect for the class that it is in. It has more than enough power, right out of the box, for my tastes. I am quite pleased with the amount of adjusts available, for tuning the sound.
The display is well lit, and easy to read even on bright sunny days. I appreciate the ability to set the brightness to change based on the time of day. I like to turn on my running lights, which triggered the standard dimmer setting, making the screen harder to read with sunglasses on. I switched to the time based mode, and all is well.
The menu system feels a little clumsy, but that's not always a strong point with Pioneer anyway. I can find what I need to find, and that's all that matters. They did give you the ability to favorite menu items, so they can be found much faster later. Very very nice. The screen art isn't good or bad. It's just okay. For some reason, they give you more (and better) options for backgrounds in the video menus (i.e. DVD) than the rest.
Android Auto. Now this is NICE! You do have to have your phone connected via the USB port, but man is it NICE! It's not perfect, but some of that feeling may simply come from being purposely hindered for my own safety, and that's a product of Android Auto, not Pioneer. I love having access to my various playlists, and the current queue. I love having the thumbs up and down buttons. I love seeing album art on the screen, even if I only see glances of it. I love having access to Google Maps without touching my phone. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Switching between things works beautifully too.
Android Auto kept crashing initially, but I found that the long USB cable I tried to use was the culprit. It has worked perfectly since switching to the cable provided by Pioneer.
There is no dedicated power antenna wire, which is probably my biggest disappointment. This replaced a Pioneer DEH-X8600BH, which is similar performance and feature wise, but had an antenna wire. Right now, my antenna is up whenever the unit is powered on. Not a big deal, but considering I never listen to the radio, it's a little silly.
My other wish involves the USB port. It would be great if it charged my phone, even when the unit is off. It has to be plugged in to use Android Auto, so that means that you would have to plug it into a separate charger if you wish to charge your phone while the headunit is off. I also wouldn't mind a second USB port, since I have a USB stick that I used to leave plugged in at all times.
The Bluetooth connection performs similar to the Pioneer DEH-X8600BH, but pairing is easier. I feel it's also a bit more responsive as well, but it still hesitates a bit compared to usage with a USB connection. The screen isn't as pretty, as you simply get a Pioneer menu displayed, and Android Auto will not function with Bluetooth. I don't really find any faults with it; I feel that is all likely due to limitations of the Bluetooth protocol than anything else. Simply put, it performs as I'd expect.
Personally, I don't care about the DVD slot, and wouldn't mind more buttons in lieu of the huge screen. On most screens, there's maybe 10 active buttons to press, and the rest is just a sea of graphics and nonsense you can look at while you drive anyway. But that's getting into describing a model that I wish existed. For what this unit is advertised to be and do, it is wonderful.

Nice unit for.the price
Nice features. Android auto works really well. Back up camera view so far has been a little glitchy. Plenty of outputs and inputs for most needs.

Exceeds expectations
Unit works as it should. The Android auto stuff is new to me, but basically set itself up.
More importantly the customer service was awesome with answering my questions and making sure I had everything I needed. I couldn't be happier with these guys and this product.

Solid Unit with Apple Carplay / Android Auto
Solid radio for the highly sought out apple carplay and android auto software. Pioneer generally has a great build quality and this radio is just that. All around nice finish, nice home page upgrade from previous years, and a big plus for apple / android integration. Sometimes carplay can be a little buggy, but overall solid. Highly recommended.
