When it comes to car subwoofers, Rockford Fosgate raised the bar in terms of high quality affordable subwoofers. These Punch Stage 2 subwoofers are the perfect combination of price and deep bass. The new Punch Stage 2 series will crank out 400 watts of RMS power handling, giving you that nice deep bass without over powering your audio system. The face of the woofer has been upgraded with a kevlar reinforced paper cone that will provide durability and great sound quality. For those long sessions of hard hitting bass, the rubber surround has been manufactured to handle high excursion movements through out the day. With their patented technology the Rockford Fosgate P2D2-10 are the perfect match for those looking for quality bass without breaking the bank.

While built on a long standing history of performance, the punch series woofers can deliver not only output to satisfy you when you want it loud but maintain a level of sound quality for when you really want to "listen" to your music. Taking many design cues from the Power Series, Rockford Fosgate engineers continue to improve the Punch Series year after year making it one of the most sought after woofer lines for music and bass enthusiasts alike. With features like Dual tear & fatigue resistant poly-cotton spider for high strength and anodized aluminum voice coil formers to handle heat buildup in the motor structure under full power situations, these drivers are designed to perform.

Anodized Aluminum Voice Coil Former

By using an anodized aluminum voice coil former on their subwoofers, Rockford Fosgate is able to dissipate heat from the voice coil more efficiently. A hot voice coil can melt the adhesive bonds, which will lead to eventual subwoofer failure. The aluminum voice coil former acts as a heat-sink to dissipate thermal build-up on the voice coil cool during high SPL conditions.

Conforms to CEA-2031

Rockford Fosgate has built this subwoofer to conform to the CEA-2031 loudspeaker power handling industry standards. This means that you can trust the subwoofer to have the capacity to safely handle the continuous (RMS) power rating. Having a CEA-2031 power handling is important when matching a subwoofer to an amplifier because the power ratings are accurate.

Stitched Tinsel Leads

To improve the reliability and performance by reducing fatigue and possible shorting, Rockford Fosgate has stitched the tinsel leads to the spider. The multipoint periodic stitching lead wires reduce the mass of the tinsel leads to spread the stress over a greater area. This improves the reliability and performance of the subwoofer.

VAST: Vertical Attach Surround Technique

In order to increase the surface area of the cone without causing any installation issues, Rockford Fosgate designed the Vertical Attach Surround Technique (VAST). By redesigning the manner in which the surround adheres to the basket, these speakers gain up to 25% more effective radiating cone area. This improves the nominal efficiency and maximum output.
